testing day

Today is writing test day and I have no school, so I woke up late. I felt bad because I felt a little bit sick in the morning. My friends and classmates took a witing test this morning, and they said the topic was good for them. I guess they wrote a good writing, so some of them may get a good result. I tried to come to school to get a transcription, but I didn't. I have to wait very long time to get a transcription because now, it's a period of registeration, so there is a annoying line in front of the office. I have to buy some presents for my family. There are a lot of plans before I leave. I have to finish many things within this sunday. I think I have busiest time since I've been here. I'm going to miss everything and everyone. Otherwise I miss my family more ! I'll have a great time with my family after I return to my country, so I'm going to do bogging in Korea, too.

mongolia

I would like to visit to Mongolia. I wanted to go there since 4 years ago, but my friends were not interested in Mongolia. Mongolia is located in upside of China. This country is very colder than other countries because this continent is near by north pole. I have three ideal travel plans. First one is I want to sleep in a Gel. Gel is a kind of tent. A long long time ago, the nomads lived at the Gel. Mongolia has a huge land, and they live with many horses and sheep. While they were living with horses and sheep, they had to sleep on the ground. That's why they needed Gel. Second, I want to see a night sky of Mongolia. There are so many shiny stars in the sky, and the sky is very clean. Finally, the last reason os to meet Mongolian. They are very friendly with Korean for a long time ago.

at the roosevelt mall

I went to roosevelt mall this monday with Yency. I was looking for a part time job at the Roosevelt mall or my school. Yency who is a student in LCC is working at the roosevelt mall. The store is Forever 21. It's a very famous store that is selling women's clothes. After we had lunch, we went shopping, and then we went to Forever 21. Yency got an application form for me  and she helped me fill in the form. After we finished it, I had an interview with the store's manager. She was very nice and kind, and she promised to hire me. But I didn't know that I had to have a green card or a social number. I only have a visa, I -20 and a student ID card, so I lost my chance. It was a pity I couldn't get a job at the store. I just wanted to stay here during summer vacation, so I needed some money.

about video

I watched the video about health, and the video told fast food is very harmful if you eat it every single day. While I watched, I thought about the health. We have to care ourselves. I like eating all food, and most people probably love, too. He who was in the video liked fast food too much. His name was Morgan, and his health was too bad. I like fast food, so I work out at least twice a week. It is helpful for keeping my health and body shape. This video showed that all fast food was not good for us. We have to eat fresh and nutrious food.

last friday

I  went to the club with Tiffany last friday. Tiffany used to teach dancing in Korea before she came here, and she love to dance, and me too. When I played gostop that is a Korean famouse card game on friday night, Tiffany called me, and she said, " let's go to the club." I played Gostop till at 11:00p.m., and then I met her before midnight. This club is a mixed population place, but they are all American without us. We are only Asians in this club. We are friendly with some people who work there, and we usually meet some friends there. The name of this club is spa. I don't exactly know that full name, but we called that. We had enjoyable time, but I was tired and felt like sick after clubbing. Spa is located in Levittown, and it is also near by our school.

Yeseul and I went to Starbucks. We did homework and talked about our future plans. Lauren and I want to be an english teacher, so we talked about TOSEL. TOSEL is one of the english qualifications. I was glad to know about Lauren's dream that was similar with mine. We talked about it a lot, and we decided to study harder, especially listening skill. Our plan was not perfect, but we will keep studying hard for our dream.                                                                             

Second generation friend

I met my friend Kevin after my class. He is second generation. I have two second generation friends. One is Charlotte and other one is Kevin. They are american, but their parents are from Korea. They can speak Korean, but they usually spend time their american friends. I waited for him with Tiffany, and we went to Starbucks. After we drank coffee, we went to his town. There was Hauppauge that was located exit 53 on 495 highway. Hauppauge was more peaceful than Rosyln Heights. We talked a lot, and we had a good time.

I was very tired

I arrived at home about 6 in the morning. We left about 2:30a.m. from A.C, and Seongjae couln't find the way back to home for one hour. I was very tired, so I couldn't wash my hands and face. I woke up 2:30 in the afternoon, and I felt sick my body. I did yoga last night, but I could't do well. After I did yoga, I took a shower and did my homework. After I finished my homework, I chatted with my Korean friend on Skype.

Play a card game

I went to A.C. that is Atlantic City. I went there with Tiffany, Yeseul and Seongjae. Tiffany and Seongjae like to play casino games. We left after 6 in the evening, and there was heavy traffic on 495 highway. There were a lot of traffic on 495 highway until Manhattan. It took 4 hours, so we were bored. Seongjae and tiffany taught Yeseul and me a blackjack. Blackjack is one of the famous card games. It was a little difficult, but we had much fun. We ate pieces of the pizza there. I had a lot of fun with them.

about pink alligator doll

My favorite toy was a doll. I had a pink alligator doll which was a special thing to me. My father bought me this doll when he went out an official trip abroad, and I was given it when I was seven. I always took and brought it anywhere except school. I loved this doll, and I named 'Annie'. My brother was sometimes jealousy because I always played with that doll, so he used to hit the doll when we fought each other. This doll was very soft and maden with cotton. I could have responsibility by Annie. Annie was all to me at that time because I was child. I hardly think about my pink doll now, but she is my friend forever.

With Lauren and Youngbin

I went to Manhattan and Brooklyn with Lauren and Youngbin a three weeks ago. We met friends at Union Street. One guy of them in level 4 class last semester. They really love Manhattan and know a lot of Manhattan. We went to Washington Square Park after we bought coffee. This park is well known for movie that is August Rush. I saw this movie a few years ago. It's story about love and music. You can hear many songs in the movie. We saw the performance that was really interesting.

in my 20s

I have been traveling since my early 20s. I didn't care about traveling before. When I became 23 years old, I could drive with my parents, and then I was obsessed with driving. Driving was so exciting while I was listening to my favorite music. I could go anywhere that I wanted to go. I visited many places in Korea. Traveling is the best among my bobbies. I want to go more many places all over the world. If someone wants to know about Korea, I'm able to explain well.

self-sacrifice of suspect x

I watched movie which was ' Self-sacrifice of suspect X'. It was Japanese film. This movie was recommanded by my Korea friend. In that movie, the suspect was showed at the part of the begining scene. The first scene of this movie was laid in Japan, and then it shifted to one apartment. One mother and daughter lived at this apartment, and one man lived at next door, and also two policepfficers and a physicist appeared in the scene. This movie showed about one man's true love toward the woman who was daughter's mother. I don't tell story of this movie because it was intereting, so I recommand this movie to my teacher and classmates. Would you try to watch this movie?

going to manhattan

My cousin, Youngbin, wanted to go to Manhattan, so we went to Manhattan. Youngbin sain, " I wanted to go to East Villege.", and then we said, " Alright." First we took a bus, and transfered to subway. The weather was wonderful. It was warm and sunny. It was 8th times for visiting Manhattan. I felt more exciting than before. Manhattan has many sceneries. I saw buildings, billboards, signs, a lot of people and all about the city. East Villege was interesting place. There were many interesting stores and restaurants.

it's very helpful work

I want to tell you about lab class. I think it is very helpful for ESL students. At the first time, I hated it because it was very hard to me. Listening and Reading were so difficult, so I couldn't finish all on time. I worried about that, but it was getting better. Now I think my listening skill are much better than I was in level 2. I try to keep up the good work.

seven poker

We played card game today. Youngbin liked to play a seven poker. He usually won the race. Youngbin is my cousin, and he lives with me at my uncle's house. He did well, so I couldn't bat much money. Sometimes we used to skip his turn on purpose, but he knew soon. We looked up to him, but we were often discouraged by his triumph. After finished the card game, I've got to do my homework.

Texas Hold'em and Seven Pocker

I learned how to play 'Texas Hold'em' and ' Seven Pocker' from Charlotte and uncle. My freind Charlotte has chips, card and gostop. 'Gostop' is a Korean card game which is as famous as pocker. We exchanged 5 dollars to chips per each person. We very enjoyed, but we didn't play for a long time because it is sunday night. We studied, but we didn't too much after playing card.  

How I feel now?

It's too hard to wake up at 6:45 in the morning. I used to wake up about 10:30 before I came here because I went to work until 1:30 p.m. I feel comfortable for coming class these days because I like my class both classmates and my teacher. Learn more English is very interesting! My English speaking is not good yet, but I believe it'll be easier soon, so I'm going to try very hard.

Panera

Today was Friday. After I finished the school, I turned on my computer because my Korean friend called me and suggested to meet on chatting site. She wanted to talk with me, so we talked a lot through video chatting site. I suddenly missed her, then I went to Panera. This place is good for studying. It wasn't cold and we could refill the beverage many times. It selled different types of beverage and delicious food. My friends who were Youngbin and Charlotte had a lot of homework, but I had just two homework that were writing on the blog and rewriting. Homework is always helpful for my writing skill, so I am thankful to you !

on thursday

Today is Thursday which is a happy day because today, there is a home party at Charlotte's house. Charlotte is American, but her parents are Korean. Her English is very well, and also Korean, either. She is very good for me. She picks me up every morning when I come to the school. Her parents and my uncle's family are very friendly. I like her very much !

At Starbucks

To study, Charlotte, Youngbin and I went to the Starbucks. Charlotte is my friend, and Youngbin is my cousin. Starbucks is located near by home. I was so cold at Starbucks, and the music was so loud. I couldn't concentrate studying. There was also many people in Starbucks. We had studied for 4 hours, and then we came back home altogether. Charlotte taught yoga to Youngbin. I didn't do yoga because I was so tired.

Go back to Korea

My plan is that I go back to Korea this June. After I finish this semester, I'll come back to my country. Actually I don't satisfy my English, and I need to improve more my English. I really want to improve my speaking also listening and writing, too. I really like not only living here, but also American culture. Otherwise I need money even though my parents are supporting me now. I don't want to rely mainly on them because I'm adult. I have ability to earn money, and to get a job. I really enjoy here until I leave, and I want to get many experiences, too.

snowboardin

I went snowboard yesterday, and it was my last snowboading. I was so sad, but I really enjoyed it. Actually I wasn't going to go to ski resort because I didn't have enough money. My friend continually told me to go snowboarding, so I decided to go to ski resort. I had fun time with my friends. They started snowboarding this winter. They are beginners, but they were obsessed snowboarding.

my uncle's family

I'm staying at my uncle's house. My uncle is my father's younger brother. My uncle has a wife and three children. They 're living in Loslyn Heights, Long Island. My aunt is very kind and nice person. My uncle and their children are same. My aunt makes a delicious food for us everyday, so I usually do a laundry, wash the dishes and clean up the house for her. I usually spend time their children when I have free time. I'm happy to live with them.

I was so bored.

Hi, my classmates. How are you spending your time during the vacation? After I got a happy birthday party, I was really sick for three days. I spent my vacation on my bed. That was really not good, and it mad me so bored and sad. Actually I was sick last friday, but I was getting better soon, so i thought i'm okay. I hung out with my friend and then went to church, and I also had my birthday party twice ! I think I made myself sick. Now, I'm recovering, and feel much better.

my birthday party

I had a plan for my and my friend's birthday party at Bayside tonight. We met about 10p.m. because some friends had to work til night. We went to the karaoke that is Korean karaoke. We entered into the room that karaoke has many rooms. We ordered meal menu that was included using machine for singing. I got a present, and I also gave a present to my friend, and also there was a beautiful cake for us. My friends sang  a birthday song for us and then I and my friend blew the candles. This cake was very sweety and yammy. We drank soju and beer while we were singing. I think we really had a lot of fun together. After we spent time there, we went to Vietnam restaurant, but it's for Korean people. We ate food and then came home. I was so happy that I spent time with them. I really appreciate my friends.

What do you think is the best job? What do you think is the worst?

I think flight attendant is the best job. Many women hope to be a flight attendant and me either. I think it's an amazing job because I can go many country for free. The airline company also offers food and lodging. They have an uniform that looks very nice and pretty. Otherwise I think cheating someone out of money is the worst. I had ever seen someone that they were swindled. When they fell a victim to fraud, they were shocked about it.

I was so happy

I was so happy yesterday because I got a surprsing party at the church's house. I want to say it was the best my birthday party. I went to the church because I had a pray's night yesterday. It's the my first pray's night because I didn't care of it before, but unusually my church's friends said you have to come to the church tonight. I had a plan with my friend yesterday at night, but they made me cancled. Pray's night was good and then we went to the church's house. When I just got of the house, they greeted me with cake and handles. They prepared a lot of food,  many kinds of drinks,  presents and card for me. I was really impressed! How amazing people they are! 

I'm getting homesick.

I'm getting homesick these days, and I really miss my family and my friends. I was always with them in Korea, but now I've been for six months without them. I really miss them. I sometimes call to them, and they always say they are okay. I would like to see them, and everyone who is an international student may same be with me. I rely on my parent now. I like here, so I want to live for long time with my family. If I can stay with them, I'll be happier than now.

go ask alice

My reading book is 'Go ask Alice'. Go Ask Alice is based on the actual diary of a fifteen-year-old drug user. Alice is in high school. At first she thought high school would be fun, but she changed her mind and then she thought it's just dull. Isn't that exiting! Alice really loves one guy who is Roser even though he doesn't love Alice. she guessed she'll always love him. One day her parents have gone to look for a place. Her family are all excited about moving. Alice thought it's great! Life is positively great and wonderful and exiting! Her family moved a small peaceful town, and Alice was very satisfied. Even the school was exciting again. She got an A on her algebra paper and everything else was going A and B too.She had some friends, and she sometimes went to the movies with her friend. Even though she is far from Roger, she just thinks about Roger. By here was the story that I read the stories from this book.

happy friday

I spent time with my friend Tiffany on Friday. After I got out of the school library, I went to Tiffany's house. She lives at commac that is in Suffolk County. I was so happy because she made me happy. Recently she worries about me, and she cares me because now a days, I have a little bit money, so I can't spend my money to do other things. I just can spend my money to eat lunch after school. My parent will give me a monthly money next sunday, so I have to wait. Why I have a littele bit money. I went to ski trip for two night last month, and I saw the musical as I said before.

At the shopping mall

I like a Roosevelt Mall because there are a lot of stores and restaurants, and it's near by school that is the best reason. It takes about 5 minutes by car, also you can take a bus. There are many bus from school to Roosevelt Mall. I usually go there about twice a week. It's a huge great shopping mall that is good for shopping. Maybe everyone in NCC know that, and I think everyone likes this shopping mall.

using computer

Using computer before I go to sleep is my habbit. It's very interesting, and it's my important thing. I can meet my Korean friends on chatting site or Skype, and then I can get some information through the internet. Actually I hardly don't read newspapers after I came here, also news, neighter. I can't get to know about Korean news, so it lets me to ge to know some news. While I listen to the music, I go to my homepage like blog. I visit my friends's homepage, also I check my email. When my works are finished, time is almost 1a.m.

on friday

A one guy came to my house. He is my aunt's friend's cousin. He is Korean and he's living at N.J. now. My aunt invited him, so he came here after finished the class. His academy is in Manhattan, so he got here by LIRR that is longisland rail road. He gave a pretty cake for us, so we talked a lot while we were eating the cake. Our family had a good time with him on friday.

Phantom of the opera

I saw the Phantom of the opera tonight. I like a musical, so I wanted to see a musical in Broadway someday. My friends and I ate lunch together and then we spent time at one guy's house before we go out to Manhattan. We watched some videos, and ate some snacks while we were talking. The weather was not much cold. we got early in Manhattan, but it was a little bit cold to wait long time about over one hour. The actors and actrees were really awesome! They were really amazing and attractive. They sang and acted very well. I got impressed even though I didn't get the story so much.

at korea

I'm going to talk about me and my country. I think Korea is very small, so it's not easy to find Korea in the world map. Korea is devided South Korea and North Korea. I'm from South Korea. Korea is located under China. We have many mountains and rivers. Seoul is the capital of Korea, and I lived near by Seoul.
We have very long history, and We have developed very quickly. I lived with my family who is father, mother and younger brother. I had a job right before I came here. I was an english teacher, and I taught elementary and middle school students at kind of an academy. This job was very interesting, so I loved my job. I want to improve my english skills more, so that's why I'm here. I think that my decision was good choice, and I'm enjoying all of things at America now.

I was a little bit hyper

I went to Minado that is Japanses retaurant, but I heard that an owner is a korean.

I went there with my friends, and I ate many kinds of food.

I love sushi, also rolls, too. That's really my favorit food.

I ate too much, so I was so happy.

I hope that I go to there soon. I recommand that if you like Japanese food, you should go there.

snow

It snowed a lot yesterday, so my class is cancled today.


I've never seen it before in my country, so i'm very happy.


All of things were so beautiful, but roads and streets were very dirty.


At the beginning of the evening, it suddenly snowed a lot even though I can't open my eyes.


I went to Manhattan yesterday because my friends wanted to go to Manhattan for shopping.


We spend all day for shopping and then we ate dinner at East Villege.


It was a Japanese restaurant that was great.


All foods are so tasty and they came out very quickly, so we were satisfied.

I love New York

I love New York because I like their cultures.

At the biginning of living in New York, i didn't realize that.

There is Manhattan in New York state.

Manhattan is very famous city in the world.

As you know, there are many international people, famous spots and buildings.

I think the spring and fall are great seasons to trip in Manhattan.

In the winter like this weather, it's too cold, so you can't stay long.

I'm living in Rosyln Heights, and I've been here for 5 months.

I think here is exiting because I can learn language and culture.

I like LCC, so i'm so lucky to get to know this shcool.

I hope that we are going to be friendly, and everyone in my class is going to pass this semester.

Read books

I like to read the books even though it is written by English because i like reading.

It is very helpful and useful to improve my skills.

When I read the book, I sometimes find words that I don't know that meaning.

But I hardly find that meaning because it bothers me to keep reading.

I usually read the book before I go to bed or when i go to the library.

I hope that will make me a better reader.
